The Home Health Aide (HHA) is the foundation of home-based care in America and provides assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for clients. In New Jersey, HHAs must be certified by the New Jersey Board of Nursing to legally provide personal care. As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), you are not only fully trained to support your clients, but you have also passed a criminal background check required by the State of New Jersey.

Personal care ADLs include bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, ambulation, and mobility assistance. You may also be asked to assist with checking vital signs. This support is invaluable to clients and their families. HHAs can also provide transportation, shopping assistance, companionship, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Becoming an HHA or CHHA is one of the most personally rewarding careers in health care.

For a Limited Time:

  • Current HHAs working for Sunlight Care can receive a $200 referral bonus for every CHHA they refer who accepts employment and successfully completes 100 hours of work.
    • Newly hired CHHAs who were not referred by a Sunlight Care employee will receive a $200 signing bonus after successfully completing 100 hours of employment.
  • For Live-In CHHAs, the referral bonus is $200 for each referral who accepts employment and successfully completes 20 days of work.
    • Newly hired Live-In CHHAs who were not referred by a Sunlight Care employee will receive a $200 signing bonus after successfully completing 20 days of employment.

If you are hired by Sunlight Care, we will reimburse the cost of your training at a rate of $2 per hour worked until your tuition has been fully refunded.

Completion of the training program does not guarantee employment. Applicants must successfully complete the interview process to be offered a position and must continue to follow all Sunlight Care policies as a condition of employment. As a member of our home care team, you will be valued, respected, and heard.
